Who is Nickey?
Nicole “Nickey” Siegerman became a published author at only 26, publishing “Whiskey Kind of Love” after a lifetime of novel writing and a short stint in fan fiction during high school. She’s written for every club she could find in middle school, high school, and college. Focusing on mental health in her writing, she offers nuanced portrayals of contemporary life, complicated relationships, and the unexpected turns of ordinary people living extraordinary lives.

Meet the Author
Nickey grew up as the oldest of two, with a teacher for a father, a podiatrist for a mother, and a younger brother. When she wasn’t listening to musicals, singing in choir, or talking someone’s ear off, she was crafting stories–usually reserved for her computer. She knew from a very young age her gift was words, and wanted to become an author someday. But she seldom shared her work outside of school papers or with the occasional friends. However, in high school when she was struggling with her mental health, she began sharing her writing on Wattpad and garnered a small army of followers who were dedicated readers of her stories. This proved to not just herself but to anyone else out there that her words actually had an impact. After winning “most likely to write a bestseller,” voted for by her 2015 graduating class, siegerman went on to get her bachelors and masters in creative writing from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and west chester university of Pennsylvania, respectively. all the while, she kept writing novels. After years of basically talking to herself in novels, she was given the gift she’d been working for since she was five and was published at the ripe age of 26. Now her goal is simple: keep telling stories. now 30, she has ghostwritten 10 novels and continues to chip away at her life’s work in her own novels. She is engaged to her beautiful fiancée, Alexa, and the two live together near the Jersey Shore with their Italian greyhound, Lacey, and cat, Bubz.
