My bestie wrote a book!!! This is a perfect mix of thriller and romance, and the last 100 pages kept me at the edge of my seat! I’m just so proud!

I absolutely love the characters and the dynamic they have with each other! You can really tell the author put a lot of care into crafting this captivating story. Highly recommend!!

I don’t think I’ve ever held my breath for so long in a novel, but the final third captivated me like no other book has in years. Such an incredible, heartfelt novel. This was only the author’s first? It left an impression for sure. I hope the sequel is just as good!

Ummmmmm, first of all, this book was so good it kept me guessing and I usually am the one to try and spoil books for myself. And second, you should read this book. Like Carrigan and Royce, stop it… I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’ll stop there! Love you, Nickey 😉

Immediately ready to read the next book! It was so lovely seeing this relationship develop between two characters who both had their own traumas but could still learn to love each other. i loved the surprises in the end – that their stories were more connected than i initially thought, the danger and excitement, and that through it all they loved each other and got a happy ending. A true story, of love, friendship, and healing through community ❤️

Nickey never stops surprising me. From her Wattpad days to now, I have seen her writing grow, and I love getting to see it. I went into [Whiskey] knowing nothing about the story or characters, but both main characters had such a special place for so many reasons. I loved that we got to see Royce’s POV because many stories like this with both MCs having traumatic pasts, we mostly just see the FMC POV. I loved how she opened him up to the reader and his thought process. I can’t remember a time a book made me both cry and chuckle in the same chapter. I became so attached to all involved in the story; I didn’t want it to end.

Many of my guesses for the book’s outcome were accurate, but I never saw the brutal and heinous truth of what really happened to a character from four years earlier. The book was easy to read; I was sucked in so fast. Sometimes, I’d have heart-racing fear for the characters. Other times, I burst into laughter from Nico’s quips. I hope the author does a sequel for Nico.

I read this a while ago now and it was extremely enjoyable. Such a good mental break in-between the other reads that I’ve been doing. The characters all have qualities that I enjoyed in them, and the story was 3 dimensional- not flat or felt like a regurgitated version of multiple other books I’ve recently read. A great read for someone needing something to easily digest, especially when recovering from reading burnout post-graduate school. (So awesome to see your growth 💕)
